Dear Bhavik & Rajesh,

I will trigger the backup again at night later because now is still business hour. If the online backup triggered successfully might slow down the system.

Dear Nitin,

As my previous post, I have tried with the following command which should be able to display the hidden files:

ls -al

Best Regards,

Ken

Dear Rajesh,

I have tried with the command that you have provided, but there is no related process runninng in the system.

Besides, I have also tried the following command as well:

ps - ef | grep br

But unfortunately, there is no related process as well.

Best Regards,

Ken

Hi,

Have you deleted that suggested file /oracle/P00/sapbackup/.lock.brb. (if its there..)

Then try to perform the backup again.

If the brbackup was terminated accidentally, then it may be a chance that your Database file(s) will be in "Backup Status".

If you get "database file <> of tablespace <> is already in Backup status", then execute the following commands, and start Backup operation again.

sqlplus /nolog

SQL> Connect /as sysdba

SQL> alter database end backup;

exit

Hi,

Have you checked the .lock.brb file AGAIN in /oracle/P00/sapbackup/ ?

Can You please RE-CHECK it with below command ?

#ls -la /oracle/P00/sapbackup/.lock*

If you can not find lock file and brbackup process running, just try to take the backup again...

It may be possible that .lock.brb file is deleted some how.

If again backup failed, just post the recent backup log.

It will be done...

Hello,

Files starting with .(dot) are hidden files

to check hidden files you can use 'a' option in ls command

Use ls -lart .* command to display hidden files

Hi,

If there is no lock file in oracle/P00/sapbackup/, then you could see if any brbackup process is running ..

#ps -ef | grep brbackup
#ps -ef | grep brarchive

if you find the same, kill it...

Then try again...

Regards.
