When installing Diagnostic agents v 7.11, is that a new installation or is it possible to remote upgrade the old ones? My guess is that I have to do new installations.
The structure of the agent filesystem has changed as well as the way the agent is controlled.
The old agent uses scripts (smdstop.sh smdstart.sh and so on).
The new agent works as a SAP system would work (stopsap, startsap)
The answer is clearly, no it's not possible to upgrade. The best method is uninstall the old agent and run a new installation of diagnostics agent 7.11.
