What are the pros and cons when choosing between number ranges status (i.e. internal or external) in QM module for different objects?

Number range :

Inspection Plan: oq62

Notifications: iw20

Insp chara : qs29 ( if it internal number range , donot tick in the ext box )

Inspection Method : qs39 ( if it external number range , do tick in the ext ( external )box -means the number range is external )

Thanks for the reply. I mean what are the benefits when considering between the two status.

If inspection plan number range is external, these are the benefits _________________, rather than we internal status.

hi,

the benefits you speaking,

• if you use External number range , system allow you to give the number for you Insp plan.

you have the option to give you desire number for the inspection plan within the range.

• If it is Internal number range , system generate the number ( from the range ) internally.
