POP UP in Configurator / CU50

Hi,

I want to give a pop as an information to user in configurator ( CU50 and VA01) whenever user enters value for characteristices beyond the permissible limit. Please advice.

Hello,

you should use characteristics values dependencies (refer to the SAP library under "SAP ERP central component --> Logistics --> Logistics - General --> Variant configuration --> Dependencies --> Constraints"). Here you can find the way to restrict the allowed values of a characteristic: I'm not sure if you can trigger a pop-up, but probably under certain conditions the system will trigger inconsistencies in the configuration or a message explaining that the enterd value is not allowed.
