HI All,
I have read weblogs in transferring scenarios from Dev to Qual to Prod.
But I have a different requirement in which I have to transfer data from one production server to another production server.
Say A and B are two production servers, I wanted to transfer data from A to B.
Please give me some ideas on this....
rgds,
ravindra.
You have to configure the CMS on any of ur SLD'S...if the time lines are stringent go for the option I suggested ..!

HI
/people/sap.india5/blog/2005/11/03/xi-software-logistics-1-sld-preparation
with reference to the above weblog, while I am trying to transfer SLD objects from Dev to Prod I couldnt able to find the buttons Remove and Export in Software Catalog.
But the same buttons are there in Technical and Business Systems. If I export from Business system, the related TS, Product and SWCV gets exported or not.
Plz suggest me how to go ahead.
Thanks in advance.
Ravindra.
Try mapping you export directory production server directory A network drive to production server B import directory..
So when developer exports from prod a ..it will be immedaitely available in prd serv b for import..
This way you can semi-automate the process..
hope this gives a clear idea..
all the objected are stored as files while moving from ONE xi BOX TO OTHER BOX..
Hope u r clear now..

Hi,
How can we know whether CMS transport system is available in our XI server or not?
In the weblog
/people/sap.india5/blog/2005/11/09/xi-software-logistics-ii-overview
it was written that in the mode there ll be two values transport using CMS, transport using filesystem.
But where this mode dropdown is??
Please help me.
Thanks,
ravindra.
Hi Ravindra,
The process would be the same as transferring your data from Quality to prod or prod to prod.
It's just another system in your landscape.
Your process might vary depending on whether u are using CMS or Import/export.

Vijaya
