Great!

Kernel upgrade includes: 1) Database dependant execuatables update

2) Database independant executables update

3) DBA tools update

Suggetion: Mark this thread as answered (only if your issue/query solved)

Hi,

Please ensure that sapxpg executable is located in your SAP Kernel directory where you have applied new kernel.

Whats the permission of sapxpg executable ? Check them.

Also check SM21 , dev_sapxpg and the required Work Process traces along with the testing of SAPXPG_DBDEST_<hostname> RFC. This will be helpful in finding the possible causes for the same.

Please refer this[ useful thread|] which is describing the same symptoms along with this [informative link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/c4/3a80c4505211d189550000e829fbbd/content.htm].
