You can use SE11 to find out if there are views for specific tables (where-used button).

Dear Markus,

Thank you for your interest.

My goal is to get a list of all the views / indexes for a set of SAP tables, so that I can impose restrictive authorization on those views / indexes.

To do this task manually - through transaction SE11 - will consume a lot of time, so I thought of finding the relevant table holding the appropriate information.

The forum has several threads discussing the issue, but none give a table which gives the exact information.

Thanks.

You can try to find out the table (if such a table as a transparent table exists) by using SE11 and just before you push the "where-used" button open a second mode and start transaction ST05 with a trace for your user. Then you can see exactly which tables are read.
