CAT5 Best practice

Would it be the best practice to run CAT5 daily in background overnight?

Can you, please, share different options and good arguments?

CAT5 is used to transfer to project system. normally client deals to update the daily efforts spent by the workers...

They wil transfer the efforts entered from in Cats time sheet to project systems... it is the actuals..

when me sheet is entered in cat2 is planned, when they run in cat5 is actuals...

For a company there will be hug no of people working and entering their effort...they prefer to update the project system with the exact cost they spent on the project with respect of hrs spent by workers.

Running Frequency of CAT5 Job will depend on the follwoing factors:

1) What is the frequency user update their timesheets ( dialy or at the end of the week) : If users are updatng timesheets daily but at the end of the week then it is good idea to run the job on weekly basis.

2) The number of users and data size: Depending on number of users and data size will matter if you need to schedule the job daily.

SAP gives option to run the job daily or weekly or any other frequency. So the best practice depends on your requirement.

In addtion to mahendra's reply,

Just check out approval sceanrio as well. That is totally depend upon what is your requirement. If CATS is done for Proejct exetuion / Professional Service Compnay which normally approves Time sheet Monthly and bill prepare invoice monthly, So in that case is it will be monthly only,

If your company is taking small service /project of Three months in that case it coule be weekly. And when ever approval scenario is there it could be either monthly or Weekly.

If your case would not refer to any of above in that case you can go for daily, But which is very rare.
