Hi
Please clarify whether the customer wants to track teh changes in document via a chnage number or whether the the document is just added as an object link just to provide the documentation/related info of change numer .
For case 1 : Go to change number;attach Document Object in Object type tab ; If needed, you can add the document to your 'Objects' also. In this case, when you carete or change document , you will be able to attach the above change number in
document data tab which will track all the changes to document thereafter.
For case 2 : Object links can be used ; in DC10 ,add the link to AENR object
Hope this info helps you.

Hi Ravindra,
Linking ECM with DMS is feasible.ECM is used for managing changes to Master Data(BoM,Drawings,Material Masters et-al). These changes are monitored and seamlessly documented.

In your case, lets say for an automobile manufacturer,a particular design change(new drawing) needs to be effected from a particular anniversary model onwards, then from the effectivity date set, that particular DIR(new drawing) can be released for production. This is one of use case scenarios. Hope this answers your query.

Hi Ravindra,
I assume that maybe object AENR could be useful for this case. The relevant screen for object AENR could be found in function group CV130 in transaction SE80 in subfolder 'Screens'.
