Hello Guys !!!
I need to implement an procedure for disaster recovey online for my Production system. My system is R/3 4.7 ext. 200 with Oracle 9. The db production size is the 100 GB.
I have implemented both online backup (daily) and offline (weekends) with the integration of Legato Networker (backinit).
What we want is to have a fast recovery procedure in another city. I was thinking about using the Oracle Standby Database procedure.
What else option exist for Disaster Recovery Online?
Thanks a lot.
Desiré

Hi
You have not mentioned whether you are planning to use Data Guard or not. Though in principle both uses same underlying method. Oracle Data guard is more sophisticated way to configure Online DR setup in Oracle DB environment
Data guard is implemented slightly different (more robust) and comes with Data guard broker to automate database failovers. Also, you can now set up a zero-loss configuration
Please find below few links with information on Oracle Data guard

Hope this information would be of use.
