Send EWA data to 2 Solution Managers

Hi,

We have a business unit with 5 plants in different countries. IT people from each location uses a local Solution Manager for the IT operations (EWA reports generation etc.) of the local SAP systems.

Now we have installed a central Solution Manager that is connected to all the SAP systems in the business unit (5 plants) and we want to use it for central monitoring of all the SAP systems. The problem is that for the monitoring scenarios (Service Level Reporting, etc.) we need the EWA report data in the central Solman but as already explained the EWA data is being generated in the local Solmans.

Is there anyway to send the data in SDCCN to 2 Solmans (the local and the central one)? Of course scheduling 2 sessions, one for each Solman, would be a solution but we don't want to generate the reports twice so that we don't load the systems with unnecessary activity.

Any idea??

Thanks in advance.

This requirement is easy to fullfil.

- Just create in both (local und central) SolMan Systems Solution Landscape with the managed systems included. EarlyWatch Sessions will be scheduled automatically.

- in the Managed System, you need BACK RFC Destinations pointing to both (local and central) SolMan Systems

- insert both BACK RFC destinations in the RFC destination list within SDCCN (Goto -> Settings -> Task-specific, RFC destinations, Settings)

- each SolMan Systems will generate an "EarlyWatch for SolMan" data collection task in the managed system.

The data is collected only once and then send to the EWA sessions in both SolMan systems.

I can not understand this requirement. The load in managed system does not increase (collected just once, but send to both SolMan systems), of course you need to process the data in each (local and central) SolMan systems. The session results are stored in both SolMan systems, but is this a problem.

If you are afraid of high data volume, you can schedule the data deletion reports.

Hello Jon, Well, If you are looking for EWA reports from All business units in one place may be you can use the automatic mail transmission method from all EWA systems and can direct thos mail to a particular Distribution List. Once all the reports are recieved in that common DL you can upload the EWA documenats in you Central Solman system.

I understand the manual work which needs to be done from downloading the reports from inbox and uploading in central solman Document Management System.
