Adding KF in SNP planning area & Assigning KFs to Aggregates in SNP PA

Hi,

I have 3 questions.Need quick help in this regard and apologize for inconveninece!

I am working on SCM 5.0 for APO DP and SNP application.

Question 1 : How to add NEW KF in SNP planning area (already initialized)

Question 2 : How to assign KFs to Aggregates (already initalized)

Question 3 : How to bring the above changes in PRODUCTION Live environment from Dev or Quality...

If the above are answered in DETAIL or STEP by STEP approach,it would be of great help for me.

Hi GANESH,

If you have to add a new KF to alredy initialized SNP planning area you should first de-initialize it. If the existing KF's are order series no trasactional data will be lost.

1. De-initialize the planning area.

2. Add the KF to the planning area.

3. Assign the KF to the respective aggregate.

4. Initialize the planning area.

You can do all this activities in the productive environment.

As per your suggestion,hope it will be easy process to add KF in SNP PA and assigning KFs to aggregates.

My quesry here is....Shall i take the backup of PA after de-initialization?

One quesry here is...How can we find out the KF belongs to Time series or Order series KF?

Hi Ganesh,

If you have only order series data in ur PA then don't take any back-up for the data.But before doing it in the production have a complete testing in dev and qua. If you go the details of the PA under the key-figure selection tab there is column (Data Source/ Target) which says whether ur KF is order or time series.

Hello Ganesh,

I think it's not possible to add an Order Series keyfigure to the initialized planning area.

You can only add only the time series key figure to the initialized planning area.

Thanks a lot for your response.

From the link which you referred,i need clarification.

You can create your own Keyfigure function by adding appropriate entries in database table /SAPAPO/KZFUNC. Once added and saved you have the new keyfigure function available to you in Keyfigure Details in Planning Area administration. You can then proceed as mentioned earlier in adding a new keyfigure.

question here is....unable to understand...

1.Key figure function...

2.Key figure details..

3.adding entries in table directly...

Please clarify.
