Hi @ll,
we defined common objects like function libraries i a BASE SWC. This BASE SWC is used as an underlying SWC for several SWC.
By mistake an object was modified in one SWC, so that in the ESR the add-on "modified" is shown.
How could this modification be reverted?
The change was already activated.
Any help appreciated
Kind regards
Jochen
Nothing much .
Open the object -> Select HISTORY tab in the object drop-down list -> Click the version you want to revert to ->Switch to Edit mode-> Save & Activate.

Hi guys,
thanks for your answers.
I know the normal way to go back to historic versions of an object.
But this case is special because the object is defined in a underlying SWC (name it BASE SWCV).
And it was edited in other SWC (name it CHILD SWCV)
Through this edit, the object is modified and this visible within the node "Basis Objects/BASE SWCV/namespace/object name (modified)"
If I change this object in BASE SWC which is the correct approach and activate the change a message comes up saying
Change propagated to modified objects in dependent software component version CHILD SCWV
The change is afterwards visible and useable in the CHILD SWCV
Since the modification several new versions have been created and I´m not sure wich is the first version where this modification was done.
I tried the normal revert procedure as described but without success.
I also tried to remove the relation and add it agaun afterwards. But the modification is still visible.
I think this is the normal way for modification which should also be used if you change XI content delivered by sap.
The procedure is described in following guide (page 14)
Guide for Customer Development and Modification
any suggestions to revert this modification?
Kind regards
Jochen
Hello Jochen,
we have the same problem. Could you tell me how you have fixed it?
I just follow the instructions of the SAP help, but had to adjust all my mappings, of course:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/ab/3adb41083f6024e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
Thanks in advanced.

Dear Stefan,
like this is described in the link, I did it the same way.
The problem I have is that I added a function in underlying SWCV that I moved
from underlying to main SWCV. Because of this, all my mappings have been
destroyed. I created a global UDF with same name in main SWCV as I created
in underlying SWCV, but he doesn't recognized it.
I was thinking if there is any way to recover my mappings. Because he lost the
reference to the UDF, all my (huge) mappings needed to be adjusted manually.
Because we are working with inheritence I hoped that it would be possible to
move a UDF up without loosing my mapping..

chris
Hi Christian, hi Stefan,
thanks for your answers which were very helpful for me.
The topic was still open.
I´m little bit surprised about the statement in SAP help I searched for this issue several times but was not able to find that
section in SAP help.
The described solution deleting the object in the customer SWCV works for me perfectly.
Hopefully there is also a smart solution for christian´s issue so that he has not change each message mapping manually.
thanks again for helping.
Kind regards
Jochen
