System is very slow while attaching or opening the document

Our sustem is very slow, while uploading the document or while opening the document system going very slow.

Hi Don,

could you please provide as more information like which release and support package do you use. Further do you store the files in a content server?

Maybe there is a problem with SAPHTTP. Therefore please see SAP note 164203.

Hello Don,

whether you are using SAP DMS(Default) as KPRO or other contentserver? some time if you use SAP DMS server with larze data as a KPRO than it will have performance issue.

Dear Don

If you are using Content Server to store documents then there should be no problem.

May be following resons

1. Document is of Large size ( more than 50 Mb ). So to retrive or check in it takes time.

2. Content server is at different location ( Install Cache server at your location )

3. Bandwidth problem.

while attaching file We are have to access the document file through network where we have created share folder.

Is it the reason for system response slow, if this is the case what will be the solution.
