Solved it myself. This issue was specific to client's environment where the files were getting encrypted. After decrypting the files it worked

I tried opening a new connection to dmbcli and execute the command db_online to start the MAXDB database.

Now I am getting the error

ERR

-24806,ERR_NODISPATCHERSTART: cannot start Event Dispatcher

-24655,ERR_BGS_START: Error starting background DBM Server sdb_ibgs_InternalEven

tDispatcher

-24853,ERR_NOSERVERPROCESSRUNNING: Could not start server process (used command:

"4 -DBMSHM 3136 32767 YS1 sdb_ibgs_InternalEventDispatcher")

-4,connection refused

Thanks,

Yomesh.

Hello Yomesh Sharma,

Do you still have the reported issue?

1.If you are SAP customer, I recommend you to create the SAP message.

2.What is the database version?

It will be helpful to review the dbmsrv<hostname>.err & dbmsrv<hostname>.prt files

Located in <IndepDataPath>/wrk.

3.According the last posted information, you was not able to restart the database

as the shared memory was not able to be clean properly.

Please check if the workaround is working for you:

    • Stop the application, x_server, close dbmcli and DBMGUI connections.

Check first the there are no dbmsrv processes running on the server.

    • Run u201Cxinstinfo <SID>u201D to get the InstallationPath & IndepData.

Rename the shared memory files used from the dbmsrv/dbmrfc processes,

< IndepData >/wrk/<SID>.dbm.shm and < IndepData >/wrk/<SID>.dbm.shi

to in < IndepData >/wrk/<SID>.dbm.shm.old and < IndepData >/wrk/<SID>.dbm.shi.old

    • try to connect to the database with dbm user < control by default SAP installation > after that & restart database to online.

.

Thank you and best regards, Natalia Khlopina
