Access to backend system Via POrtal not working.

When we are trying to access SAP system through portal development we are not able to connect it.

Path: Managers desktop--> Recruiting

The box for SSO logon appears, where we select LOG ON and then we try to give the correct user name and password for JD1 it shows an u201C*internal error occurred*u201D message.

Is it something to do with system configuration in Portal?

We even checked that but did not find anything; please can you help us to resolve this issue?

Also we tried it on both IE 6.0 and IE 7.0 but it is not working.

Hi Rozal,

Check JCO and Systems test are successful.

if SSO working then try to check after clear cookie and temp file from browser.

If you use SSO correctly no window to enter your password should appear - if it does then you have first a basic problem with SSO.

Concerning the message you get, I'd look into the trace files of the portal instance (defaultTrace.x.trc and application.x.log) in the cluster/log directory and check for possible issues.

Also check your ABAP backend for dumps and/or errors in the syslog.
