Hello all,
I have a requirement at a client where i have to configure storage unit type but there is no business requirement for storage bin type. is it a mandatory requirement in SAP to have a storage bin type if storage unit type is active.
Thanks,
Maxx
It is mandatory to have a storage bin type, to determine what SUTs can fit into the bin types.
You can have a single storage bin type and use the same while creating your storage bins, and configure the bin type in the SUT-bin type assignment.

Hi
When SU management is not active in a storage type, all stock is managed as separate quants at the storage bin level. With SU management, stock is managed at the pallet or storage unit level. A storage bin can have one or more storage units. Similarly, each storage unit can consist of one or more quants

hi,
if u maintain the storage type for a material, you have to maintain the storage bin also for that material .when u leave the fields for the wm-views it will create problem when u posted gr for that material.
