Hi There,
We use Service Management, via Sales Order proejct is created with following structure:
Level 1 Billable WBS
Network
Level 2 First phase WBS
Activity 10
Level 2 Second phase WBS
Activity 20
Level 2 Third phase WBS
Activity 30
All costs are settled to a profitability segment via the billable WBS.
We first want to release only the First phase WBS and book costs on it. So far so good.
We then do Resource related billing via DP91 and via VF04 create a billing document.
The billing document is created correctly but the accounting documents are not created because the billable WBS has not been released yet. Via VFX3 it is possible once the billable WBS has been released to create the accounting documents on a later moment but this is not desired.
In order that the accounting documents are created via VF04, the billable WBS must atleast be released. But once you release the level 1 Billable WBS, then all lower levels are also released. How can we create a structure that I can release level 1 without that all subordinate levels are also released?
Thanks for your input,
Bastiaan
Hi
Create WBS User Status Profile and firbidden Business Transaction as oer your requirement.
And Assign this User status profile to respective level WBSE.

two option -
first - use user status to block REL business transactions on the other level 2 WBS levels
second - use level 2 WBS as the billing element

Hi,
Why dont you want to release the Subordinate WBSE .
If you release the parent WBSE then the child WBSE will be released also.
If it is because if you want to prohibit the business transactions on lower WBSE then set a user status and prohibit the transactions on the lower WBSE if the System status is Rel.
