Hi,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to ask my two questions.
My user wants 1 cProjects linked to 2 ERP ( ERP1, and ERP2) a resource can be assigned to task (ERP1 or ERP2...) then when the resource enter in his tasks he can see all tasks (not only task related to ERP1 or ERP2)--> I suppose this is possible ( Isn't this?).
The second question is related to CATS, to enter real time it is needed the user enters in CAT2 transaction ( in ERP1 and ERP2>), we have thought we can use ESS linked to 2 ERP (ERP1 and ERP2) I am not sure if it is possible but It is not the question, my question is , Does someone have this scenario ESS> ERP <--Cprojects? In this case Can the employee only see in ESS only task assigned to him in cProjects?
I would be very thankful if someone can help me with any of my questions,
Thanks,
Sara
Hi Niranjan, tanhk you very much for your answer.
Really we want 6 systms --> 1 cProjects, 4 ERPs, an 1 HR, we need employee only enter hours in one system. But I really very confused would it be possible the user enter in HR system and see in CATS task assigned to him in cProjects? (cprojects has to be linked to WBS and these WBS will be in the 4 ERPs).
Thanks a lot,
Sara

Hi Niranjan,
Thank you very very much for your help, Can I make you other question related to this? The first case you talk about is :
1. Say 3 systems are there ERPCATS, ERP1, ERP2
ERP 1 ALE with ERPCATS
ERP 2 ALE with ERPCATS
then in ERPCATS Employee will fill data
What do you mean with ERPCATS? I suppoused in ERP1 there was a CATS and in ERP2 there was another CATS. Can be CATS outside ERPs and see in CATS your task assigned (with the WBS related to this task)?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Sara

Hello,
In case 1 I mean
ERP 1 and ERP 2 both servers have independant cProjects without HRMS data.
HRMS is in system ERPCATS which is not having cProjects
Thus you would transfer the cProjects allocation tfrom ERP 1/2 to ERPCATS system where employee will fill the timesheet
CATS is not out of ERPs but in this case ERP1/2 are standalone cProjects and third system called EPRCATS has HR data
Hope Im clear
Just a doubt, any specific reason for going with 2 separate systems for cProjects?

Hi
Qn 1
So far you can get data from ERP 1 and 2 to system
where User will enter data, this shd work.
2 Cases can be
1. Say 3 systems are there ERPCATS, ERP1, ERP2
ERP 1 ALE with ERPCATS
ERP 2 ALE with ERPCATS
then in ERPCATS Employee will fill data
2. Say 2 systems are there ERP1, ERP2
ERP 1 where Employee data is there (HRMS implemented and cProjects as well)
ERP 2 ALE with EPR 1 ( only cProjects, HRMS is shared with ERP 1)
then in ERP 1 Employee will fill data against Projects in ERP 1 or ERP 2
Qn 2
its possible to show only Projects > tasks assigned in ESS but
its very slow because of JAVA interface,
you can try developing an another application un Webdynpro and
create an iview to bring to portal.
