Connect PI to backend

Hi guys,

Wanted to know the process of connecting PI to backend ECC system ? want to use the various adapters ,is config in SLD also required for the connection to backend ?

Select the protocol that you want to use --> Create necessary destinations in SM59

want to use the various adapters

IDOC/ RFC/ PROXY....which one are you looking to use?

,is config in SLD also required for the connection to backend ?

You need to create Business system pointing to your ECC system

Also yes in SLD you need to maintaing a Business System pointing to your ECC system. You can ask your basis for this.
