licence key activation

Dear All ,

I have SAP server licence validity uptill 15 th March 2010.

where as i have received the new Permenant Ket & installed in Slicence tcode .

Now , todays date is 16th feb , how to check whether my server have accepted the validity for the Permenant key validation 31.12.9999. ?

Need i suppose to restart the server and to check ?

Or this key will come into effect after the Expirtaion of current key which is valid till 15 th march 2010.

Hi Venky,

U need not restart your system after applying the license for Abap system,

you can see the latest installed license under current settings "License Expires On" in trxn : Slicense

you can also check from OS lvl, using commd SAPLICENSE -get

Hello Venky, Once you have installed permanent license, you can check it in two ways :

1. From Slicense tcode at SAP level. It will show you the active/installed license in green color with the date of expiry.

2. From OS level using saplicense -test command(command for AIX OS).

Hi,

if you have already applied the license then do the below step for check whether you license is properly updated or not.

1. Loging to SAP

2. goto menu SYSTEM --> Status

3. check SAP SYSEM DATA tab.

check what is a expiry data shows there.
