SCM 5.1 - LCA and LCAPPS versions supported by SAP

Hello community,

we have an SCM 2007 instance which has relevant systemistic issues (for example, Livecache sometimes shoutdown unexpectedly) We would like to know if our SCM is compliance with the guidelines of SAP.

We have currently this combination of versions:

LCA Build and Patch Level 60.19 PL 001 (and SAP liveCache Kernel 7.7.04.32)

LCAPPS_2006_700 SP04 (and SCM 5.1 SP05)

Looking at the web page in the link named SAP LC/LCAPPS 5.1 it seems taht this combination is not supported, because our combination is not listed in the supported LCA / LCAPPS release. So a Support Package upgrade for LCAPPS and SCM seems to be mandatory

But in the SAP Note SAP Note 824489 - LCAPPS patch strategy I read the following

The LCA Builds are always downward-compatible regarding the components
LCAPPS. If, for example, LCA 50.06 was released with the Support Package
stack of LCAPPS Support Package 3, then you can use Support Package 3 for
all subsequent LCA builds (LCA 50.07, LCA 50.08 and so on). However, the
reverse is not guaranteed, in other words, LCA 50.05 and preceding versions
cannot necessarily be used for Support Package 3. Therefore, you must use
at least the LCA build that is defined in the relevant LCAPPS Support
Package or a higher LCA build.

So we are a little confused, our current combination is supported or not?

Hello Valerio,

As you know, according u201CMatrix of released LCA builds for SAP LC/LCAPPS 5.1u201D LCA 60.10 PL 004

released with LCAPPS_2006_700: SP04 & SCM 5.1: SP05.

And you have LCA Build and Patch Level 60.19 PL 001 < build 19 for SCM 5.1 > on your system, which is higher as LCA 60.10 PL 004 < build 10 for SCM 5.1 >,

As you already saw in the SAP Note SAP Note 824489, the LCA Builds are always downward-compatible regarding the components LCAPPS.

Itu2019s recommended also to review the corresponding note to LCA Build release, LCA 60.19 PL 001 - SAP Note 1307698.

The LCA Build and Patch Level 60.19 PL 001 is supported with LCAPPS_2006_700: SP04 & SCM 5.1: SP05.
