BW upgrade is failed at prepare phase

Dear Gurus,

We have started upgrade from BW3.5 ( netweaver 2004) to BI 7.0 (Netweaver 2004S)

We have executed first prepare run, It is failed at the following phase

CHK_DB6_PAR_INI

as per the error, it is needed to update DFT_MON_BUFPOOL ON.

we have updated , but still the error is not resolved.

Could you please let us know, what needs to be done to rectify this.

system details:

Instance server = DB2/NT64 9.5.4, ABAP

Hi,

I could not find exact traces related to these kind of errors.

I tried EHP1 SR1 and got the following error

the value of one or more database (manager) configuration parameters has to be changed.

as user db2hbp issue the following statement on the database server:

db2 connect to SID

db2 attach to db2sid

db2 update dbm cfg using KEEPFENCED NO

db2 terminate

I did the steps as shown above, and restarted the DB, but still SAPUP unable to recognise ,

and popping up the same error.

Could you please guide me, how can i get rid of this error in the checks roadmap step.

The parameter which you have updated is a dbm parameter(instance parameter) and there will be no effect for keepfenced parameter until you restart your db2 instance(not the database)
