Error instalation CE 7.2

Hi, Im getting this error.

does anyone know what it means?

Connection failed to node (local) for database (no dbname): dbmsrv executable not found at com.sap.sdb.sllib.utils.DbCommandForApi.runCommand(DbCommandForApi.java:126) at com.sap.sdt.ins.component.sdb.main.cmd.SdbCmdMain. (SdbCmdMain.java:64) at com.sap.sdt.ins.component.sdb.main.cmd.SdbCmdMain.main(SdbCmdMain.java:207)). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose View Log to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue with it later.

Hello keerti,

Yes I was able to resolve it . I uninstalled the previously installed sapdb and choose to install db inside sap installation instead of using existing db instance in one of the installation step. Hope it will help you.

So don't install db seperately , choose it during sap installation.

Do you have another installation of a SAP system on that machine? Seems it doesn't find the PATH for the database programs.

i dont have any other instalation in the virtual machine. the OS is win 2003 server wich was recently installed.

what do you sugguest??

If you have this freshly installed I'd open an OSS call (BC-INS).

Unfortunately I don't know what it means.

But I would try this:

Choose View Log to get more information about the error.
