Customer material creation for a list of customers

Hi,

I understand I can create a customer material number for a particular customer in transaction VD51, however, if I have a list of customers under a hierarchy that all have the same customer material number corresponding to a product i would like to update, please would anyone be able to assist in advising how I would go about this?
