You have two options:

- backup your oraarch and delete the files

- set the database to NORARCHIVELOG mode

Hi Markus,

thanks for immediate response .

today i wil paln to do client copy from prod to preprod and mean while i wil monitor file system through OS level .

i need one more clarification regarding backup during Client copy .

is it possible to take whole DB Online backup + Redo log Backup Bcoz i have not taken redo log backup alone

note:

i am taking 1.whole DB online Backup + Redolog Backup.

2.whole DB Offline Backup + Redolog Backup

3. File level Backup

i have not taken redo log backup alone

kindly advise me

Why not?

You can take online backup + redolog from DB13 only. If you are taking online backup you must take backup of redolog.

why not consider disabling archiving on your PREPROD system BEFORE client copy? This will save you from the grief of checking archiving directory.

one more thing, if you choose the backup/restore path, it would be easier if you would do online_cons backups. This makes an online backup and also backs up offline redologs that were generated during your online backup. This way, you get a consistent backup in one run without the need of additional brarchive run. This is very useful for system refresh.

For now: just take archive log backup and delete archivelogs from direcory

Or keep your database in no archivelog mode(brtools have this option will give you step by step in detail)

Suggetion: Read and follow the prerequisites before starting any operation in sap
