Hello everyone,

I have installed mySAP Netweaver 2004 test Drive on Linux and DB2.

When I type, startsap si4host(to install my license) as si4adm, I get the following error:

starting database manager

02/13/2010 23:19:19 0 0 SQL8000N DB2START processing failed; a valid product license was not found.

SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019

Database Manager already running

SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued. SQLSTATE=57019

Activate database failed

by looking at the DB documentation, I typed this command and get the following:

si4adm> db2licm -l

Product Name = "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"

Product Identifier = "DB2ESE"

Version Information = "8.2"

Expiry Date = "Expired"

Registered Connect User Policy = "Disabled"

Number Of Entitled Connect Users = "5"

Enforcement Policy = "Soft Stop"

Number of processors = "1"

Number of licensed processors = "1"

Database partitioning feature = "Not entitled"

Annotation = ""

Other information = ""

Any help is appreciated,

Carlos Gonzalez

Your DB2 license is expired. Install Db2 license and refer to SAP Note 816773 - DB6 Installing an SAP OEM license

Thanks

Thanks for the help.

I am reading the document SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 on Windows: IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows that contains this note below here.

If you have bought your DB2 license from SAP (OEM customers), install the DB2 license as

described in SAP Note 816773.

When I click on the link is asking for user name and password, I haven't bought the DB2 license, it is just for testing.

What should I use here?

Thanks,

Carlos Gonzalez

It is asking for user id and password of service market place to get this SAP note for license installation.

Thanks

Hi,

Then I don't think so you can correct this as your DB2 license is expired.

Thanks

I think those "Test Drives" / Trials are meant to run in SAPDB not DB2

The N4S LINUX system will install the DB2 LUW on 32 bit system. the 64 Bit system is MAXDB.
