Hi Teja,

By and large 30 residence period is for Java based messages and Wherein the Integration Server related messages (i.e ABAP) requires to be marked for archive & delete and run all it's corresponding standard maitenance jobs.

Please refer to my Blog & Wiki that helps you to understand the concept of Archving and Delete procedure in PI

Hi,

The messages with status "further processing not possible" will be flagged for deletion(RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES).

The successful message and sync error messages can be deleted by scheduling job via SXMB_ADM but these job will not delete ASYNC error messages without manually cancel them (RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES) and delete them via scheduled job.

Please refer this [SAP Note 872388 - Troubleshooting Archiving and Deletion in PI|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/872388] to get more information.
