Drive change not permitted?

I am trying to install Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 2004

<b>SAP Web Application Server 6.40 on MaxDB (Java Stack)</b>

on my desktop. I have other drives which have enough diskspace but the installation keeps on forcing C as the default drive for it and terminates in between as there is not enough space on C drive...is it not possible to change the drive setting??? I do not want to install it on C drive.

for you to be able to choose the drive (as per the installtion instruction - drive:\folder where you have extracted the rars\DOC\html\index.htm - installation link)

neither <b>sapmnt</b> or <b>saploc</b> file share much exist on the target host. Also no sap system must be installed already.

Raja,

I had a previous sneak preview installation which I have uninstalled. Also removed the shares saploc and sapmnt manually and even deleted the folder c:\usr\ completely (hard delete). Still the installation does not ask me to select the drive where to install.

Also removed the shares saploc and sapmnt manually

dont remove them, it is required, only then you will have option to choose the drive.

( ihavent done this but this is what my understanding is)
