Hi Guys
I am having some issue with the Alerts. Is it possible to raise an Alert if the connectivity is lost or connection in unavailiable between the PI system and the SAP R/3 system .
how can we acheive this???
Hi,
If you have configured alerts via ALRTCATDEF,you wont get alerts for this type of error...because alerts wont be raised for application errors in AE engine RWB...You need to configure CCMS alerts for this.
for better idea...go through...

Hi,
Yes you can rise alerts in this case, when connection fails between PI and R/3 ,communication channel wil fail to send IDoc or RFC,we get communication channel error.
we can raise alerts for Adapter engine errors like when CC fails.
many blogs available on the same like how to rise alerts, please search in sdn.
Regards,
Raj
