hi,

this is the correct table - you need to put/insert here the parameter (first column) from the oss note and value (second column)

but only after basis will apply the patch

Hi Michal,

Here in SAP Note, they didnt mentioned any thing about paramter and parameter value for FTP/File Adapter

they gave only for JDBC Adapter.

Please suggest me what parameter and value i need to insert here under Name and Value

hi,

aaa sorry for FTP you just set normal timeout - only jdbc requires this advanced table

so set the timeout (normal) and apply the patch

Hi Vamsi,

Under Advanced Mode, Specify the additional parameter names and parameter values in the table.

Refer below note to set the timeout in your adapter..

SAP Note: 801926

Also refer this Note 849089, where you will find the below explanation...

To configure a timeout for the FTP connection, please enable the "Advanced Mode" for the respective FTP communication channel in the Integration Directory and add an entry "ftp.timeout";=timeoutSecs

(without any quotation marks) to the "Additional Parameters" section, where timeoutSecs is the desired FTP timeout in seconds.

Hi Sarvesh,

Thanks for the clear explanation and if i want to setup these for NFS means, will it work or only for FTP

Cannot say clearly about NFS if it will work or not... may be this you have to try yourself.

P.S. If you test this with NFS, please update the thread with your findings.

Hi Sarvesh,

Sure i will update it.The Actual Problem we are facing is

When a Idoc generated from ECCreaching XI-and all receiver FTP channels are up and Green

Even though the receiver FTP system not able to receive the File.

So thats why we thought of implementing the SAP Note 1083488 which deals with setup timeout parameters in File channel

Please suggest me and share your thoughts

Regards
