Dear experts!
What are the options available to connect handheld terminals to SCM EWM.
Will SAPConsole still work for a character based terminal for SCM EWM?
What about connecting GUI based applications? As WebSAPConsole is 'outdated', which platform is recommended by SAP?
Thanks in advance
Baseer
Hi Baseer,
I see no reason, that SAPConsole should not work any more.
A look into sap-note 1046184:
"Please note that connecting SAPConsole which supports character devices to systems higher that SAP Netweaver 7.00 is still possible"

Hi,
ITS Mobile would be a better option considering that You can execute transactions on a Windows based devices. Webconsole and Character emulation is almost outdated.
Thanks
Vinod.

Hi Vinod
I dont agree with your comment that 'Character based emulation is almost outdated'.
Character based emulation has still got a larger foot print than GUI based ones. It is still considered an industry standard and given preference over GUI based emulation.
However I did not get a clear answer on what SAP recommends to use in combination for SCM-EWM.
I appreciate if any one using in a live environment can comment on this.
You can use ITSmobile to connect your handhelds with scm ewm. it generates templates which can be displayed on the browser of your dektop PC or mobile device. For more information try this link:
