Deinitialisation and initialiasation of planning area

Hi gurus,

I need to deinitialise one planning area and then again have to initialise it. In between I will back up the data in back up cube. Could you please tell me what kind of issues we face in this kind of process? Is there a possibility that I will loose some data? What will be the steps and precautions for this kind of process?

Hi Anarya

As you have correctly mentioned, you have to back up data to info cube before deinitializing. The most critical part here is to make sure the back up and restoration after deinitialization works successfully. Try this out in your test / quality system before doing anything in production
