Web gui login

Hello gurus,

I can not login to the SAP application from the web gui.

The login page comes up, I type my user name and password but it comes back to the login page.

any help?

hi

check the following,

1) client you are trying to login (in webgui, logon screen)

2) validity period of that user in that system & client (try loging thru sap gui)

3) roles assigned for that user

4) check ICM parameters, in SMICM.

5) try to publish all the services in SICF

I can log into the client using the SAP logon pad

2) validity period of that user in that system & client (try loging thru sap gui)

user is working fine using the SAP logon pad

3) roles assigned for that user

The user has got SAP_ALL profile, is there nay specific role that should be assigned?

4) check ICM parameters, in SMICM.

The following parameters have been set:

icm/server_port_0=PROT=HTTP,PORT=8001

icm/server_port_1=PROT=SMTP,PORT=8000

What parameter am I looking out for?

5) try to publish all the services in SICF

Which services should I publish in SICF, could you explain this point?

Hi

In 'SICF' transaction, go thru the path '/default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/' and select 'webgui' and double click on that.

In the next screen, check the 'Logon Data' , in that procedure & security requirement & authentication should be set to 'standard'.

Are you getting any error message, or any kind of system message seen in sm21????

Check the WORK directory logs right after trying to login, check the latest modified logs....

I got the config right, but there is a problem with my browser.

I tried it on sun web browser and it works.

what setting is required for fire fox and internet explorer browsers?
