In our case the problem appeared to be that the administrator was not really administrator due to domain policies...

The administrator had no rights to hand over a processtoken to de adm user, and restarted the installation with that user.

It went smooooothhh....from that point on.

Hi Sanjeev,

Did you manage to solve the problem? We are experiencing the exact same problem with the installation of SAP 4.6c with Oracle 81700 on Windows2003SP1.

Installation stops at 65% with the exact errors you mentioned.

I hope you have found a solution

Hi Sanjeev,

The error Access is denied suggests that the user does

not have enough previliges on the OS level. Please check

the user used for installation is a member of the

Administrators group.

Hi Srikishan,

Before installing the SAP I have assigned the user which is used for installation purpose in so-called "Local Security Settings". But still I am having this problem.

I have doubt: Do u think that it has something to do with Operatingsystem, coz I am using Windows Xp not Windows 2000.

Sanjeev.

Installation should be done using <sid>adm user that must be part of the local Admins... remember that SAPService<SID> user must be part of the local admins too

I don't think XP is the problem

Hope this help!

Sure...

2 of the pre-installation tasks are creating the system users <SID>adm that is going to be the SAP Administrator account and SAPService<SID> that is going to be the SAP Service account... both of this accounts need to be part of the Server Local administrators group.

You can download the Installation manual from the SAP Marketplace and check that all the pre-intallation task are completed before running the installation..

Hope this help!
