wat is meant by backward and forward scheduling? in which situations we will use?

HI

scheduling is done in MRP to determine the basic dates for the system to calculate the lot size. Basically in forecast based planning the basic dates are calculated in backward scheduling, in reorder point planning they are calculated in forward scheduling. in backward scheduling. to know more go through the link
