Installation problem related to JDK

Hi all ,

I am using Windows server 2003 64 bit for sap installation . Using J2sdk1.4.2_19. But it is showing this JDK does not support the 64 bit data model. Choose a different JDK. Choose a different JDK. Which JDK need to be installed or how to solve it ? Can anybody help me ?

Hi asad,

Download the softwar from below link and try to install , it should should work if your system is 64 bit

I solved the problem. But after next it is asking for JCE path . Can you tell me about it ?

You can download Crypto library (1.4.2) from the link from the above post...

I downloaded it. and copied to a directory . But is it need to be installed ? How to write the directory ??

Hi,

Yes it is required with JAVA stack...

Dowload and keep it where you kept downloaded JDK.

Just give the path of "ZIP" file (do not extract it...) in SAP installation...

And continue installation..

Hi,

No need to install it. Just browse the path where you have copied the file when asked during the installation.

Hi ,

JCE policy is a file which is used to make secure connection protocol enable in SAP.

It does't required to be installed, you just give patch will installing SAP .

Hi,

You might be using 32bit JDK..

Please download and install 64bit JDK and JCE policy if needed from sun.com
