Error installing NW Java 7.0

Former Member

Hi Experts, when I'm installing the NW Java I get this error "Cannot insert a key value pair into the secure store fails". I tried to reinstall the machine many times but always with the same negative result.

I already looked for a solution in previus threads and I found the SAP note 1071472 that mentions tihs issue, but no one of the possible solutions worked.

Any one knows waht could be wrong in the installation process?

Here is the full message:

Hello

A key/value pair with this key already exists in the store..

Normally this error appears when a previous installation was attempted

but full "clean" deinstallation was not made.

There are 2 possible solutions. First of all, please try the following

workaround:

- Rename the files 'SecStore.properties' and 'SecStore.key' and restart

from where it failed.

If this does not work them it is always our recomendation to perform a

clean uninstallation of Java. There is no need to uninstall the ABAP

instance here, only Java. For the clean uninstallation please use

sapinst service or do it manually for that

please read the installation guide (Deleting SAP System)

about "clean" uninstallation.

You should not have to do anything with the ABAP side when performing

the java uninstall.

You should perform a clean uninstall (as per installation guide)

of all java-components and then a fresh reinstall of Java Stack.

Thanks
