Hi,
SAP note 1177779 has a remark which says "It is not recommended to run SRM-MDM Catalog and MDM Scenarios an the same machine".
However, when looking at the SRM training course content, it states that SAP recommends to install MDM and SRM-MDM catalog search app all-in-one (on the same host). All SRM installation guides show the same picture of SRM-MDM catalog search being installed on the MDM server.
Technically, it makes sense to keep the SRM-MDM catalog search on MDM server (by installing WAS JAVA and deploying WDJ search app) to keep the search app close to MDM repository data. Can anyone share their experience of installing SRM-MDM catalog search app on MDM server as well as separately?
