Hai,

When iam going to raise the P.O iam getting an error as Account assignment mandatory for material.

There is no provision for value-based inventory management for this material type in this plant. Account assignment is thus necessary.

First check for the material type against which the material is created. Next go to OMS2, select that material type and double click on "Quantity/Value Updation". Select your plant and maintain a tick under the tab "Value updation" and save. Now retry.

Can you clarify, "Value based on Inventory management"?

Every material has to be created with certain material type, whcih controls whether the particular material with this material type has to be accounted only quantity basis or value basis or both.
