Hi,

By default all the BIC mappings will be in active state onyl..

provided if you develop new mappings and are not compiled...then mapping will not be in active state...

if you are facing some error w.r.t. bic mappings do post the error...

Hi,

I copied BIC mapping from Standard mapping into my project.

Then I right click on the project and select create deploy file--->then here error comes as " you cant create a deploy file for this project there is no SDA/SCA number for this project "

Thanks,

Singh.

I would really like to suggest you referring the documents available with the Seeburger Installation CD. This procedure is very well explained in guide "SAPXI_BICMD_config_en.pdf".

Hi,

Please flow the below steps...

In order to assign projects to SCA files, you need to modify the bic_mapping_designer.ini. file, which is

located under <BIC Mapping Designer Installation path>/Bin/bic_mapping_designer_ini.

1. Open the bic_mapping_designer.ini file with a text editor.

2. Append the following line to the last CmdLineArg<number> line

CmdLnArgX=-projectAdmin

Please note the CmdLnArgX prefix must have an ascending numbering with X representing

the number.

3. Save the file and exit.

4. Restart BIC Mapping Designer.

After restarting BIC Mapping Designer, you can create projects which should be used for usermappings.

If you have already created or imported projects which you want to use, skip this step.

To create a project use File | New project and enter a name for the new project. Use names which you

can easily associate with the subsequently created SCA files (E.g user00 for Mappings_user00.sca )

Hi,

As suggested read the documents...

Project name is ActiveMappings so that the name conveys the meaning..but there is no rule that you need to create the Project name as ActiveMappings only...

first create the project and then generate your mappings..compile the same

add the parameter ProjectAdmin to the ini file of BIC mapping designer..then close and open the Mapping tool

under tools option then you will find the option Assign projects to SDA...

there add your porject name and then create Deploy file...

Hope this gives you clear picture

This article : http://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/00b4a020-4ae6-2c10-5a95-fed4ad... talks about deploying some other SDA files.

But the process is same from step 1.3.

Hi Singh,

You should create on BIC mapping for one EDI signal-Version combination.

eg if you have EDI 850 V4010 and V 5010, then you should create two BIC maps, one for 850_V4010 and the other for 850_V5010 (Irrespective of the number of customers).

OK, For every Version there is one map is it right.

So,

I have to change sender ID for different Customers in Seeburger Workbench splitter is it right.

Thanks,

Singh.

Yes...Exactly..only change in Sender ID if data and version used are same...

Hi Rajesh,

Again Thanks,

Here plz conform 1 thing.

IN EDI data DTM Segment has 2 fields Date Qualifier, and Date two fields.

DTM1020100202

DTM2020100102

i need date in output when Qualifier is 10.

If qualifier is 20 ignore that date in output.

Where i need to map for this case. Is it in BIC mapping or XI Mapping.

Plzz conform me.

Thanks,

Singh.

Hi Singh,

You should have that logic in XI mapping only.

All the "Business" logic should be in XI Mapping.

BIC mapping is purely for XML to EDI and EDI to XML format conversion.

Thanks Ravi Kanth Talagana,

If i used standard mappings it doesnt giving "`" symbol at the end of the segment(i.e. delimiter).

For this where i can set delimiters. In BIC or PI.

Thanks,

Singh.

Hi Singh,

Delimter settinigs can be done in BIC Mapping.

I remember something like Source Options in the menu in BIC MD, there you can use whatever delimeters you want.

Hi,

Transfer that file to PI server folders and can deploy them using SDM tool also...

in SDM provide the path of the file where you store in OS folders...

After deployed you can check the same in seeburger systemstatus->BIC mappings tab..
