Hi folks,
While defining receiver communication channel for idoc the their is an check box "Apply Control Records values from payload'
What is the role of it can anyone explain me about this.
Thank,
Srinivas Reddy.
if you use this option, in your mapping you can fill in the EDIDC segment with the required control data info.
The IDoc adapter will be using those values while processing the message.

HI,
Usually we disable the control record segment EDI_DC40 so that the fields in it are automatically filled by the IDOC Adapter on its execution.
If we check this we can manually enter control record data of an IDOC during Mapping in Integration Repository.
This link would help you with more detailed explanation:

A simple search would have given so many threads on the same topic.
If you check that check box, then the fields in the control record,, like the sender port, sender partner, receiver port etc, will be populated from the message mapping (and not from the XI system automatically).

Ravi
