Attention : I noticed that all of the group sapinst -> converted -> group 501 (I do not know the cause because I do not convert them)

example :

-rw-r-x--- 1 root sapinst 4291 Jan 18 12:17 initSED.2.ora (previously)

-rw-r-x--- 1 root 501 4291 Jan 18 12:17 initSED.2.ora (presently)

Hi,

SID_LIST_LISTENER =
  (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
      (SID_NAME = PLSExtProc)
      (ORACLE_HOME = /oracle/SED/102_32)
      (PROGRAM = extproc)

what is a reason of keeping SID_NAME = PLSExrProc

it should SID_NAME = SED

Replace the above entry

then STOP database , Stop listner again start listner first then start database and run R3trans -d let us know what output come to re3trans command .

ouput should be return code 0

Thanks

Anil

A lot of things seem to have been messed up here.

TNS_ADMIN=/usr/sap/SED/SYS/profile/oracle

So user sedadm is using the tnsnames.ora file from the directory above, not the one you showed us.

And regarding changed groups:

Are all of your file systems local, or are some of them mounted over NFS?

Hi,

Eviornment variable are looking fine..

Can you also post trans.log and all startsap_.log file from home directory of SIDADM user.

Also post out put of tnsping SED

One more thing you can do, if you have backup of Kernel (SAR files), re-upgrade it... or Upgrade it with latest version..

At least R3Tools...

(I guess there may be some problem with kernel/R3tools because of sudden power down...)

Regards.

Dear Rajesh Narkhede and Anil Bhandary

i am having more information after i did anythings below:

1. @ Rajesh

I did your comments

2. @ Anil

I type command ls -ltr and check softlink created for instantclient -> softlink not lose but I did to follow you

and outout command of R3trans -d below :

sapsed:sedadm 1> R3trans -d

This is R3trans version 6.14 (release 700 - 18.09.06 - 09:35:00).

unicode enabled version

2EETW169 no connect possible: "DBMS = ORACLE --- dbs_ora_tnsname = 'SED'"

R3trans finished (0012).

output command of ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt below :

sapsed:orased 1> ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

libclntsh.so.10.1 => /oracle/SED/102_32/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1 (0x00f38000)

But error remain

thanks for your help

Dear all

output of commands following :

1. What is the output of this in Linux, as root user:

find / -name libclntsh.so.10.1

---> [root@sapsed ~]# find / -name libclntsh.so.10.1

/oracle/SED/102_32/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1

/oracle/client/10x_32/instantclient_10202/libclntsh.so.10.1

2. What is the output of this in Linux, as <sid>adm user:

ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

---> [root@sapsed ~]# su - sedadm

sapsed:sedadm 1> ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

libclntsh.so.10.1 => not found

maybe this problem !!!

thanks for your advice

Hi,

It seems that there is some linking problem for "libclntsh.so.10.1"...

Just log in as ora<SID>

go to $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory

give #relink all command

It will resolve any linking problem or oracle binaries...

then stop all (listner, database, sap, etc ) and start it again with sequence LISTENER, DATABASE, SAP...

Regards.

Hi,

---> root@sapsed ~# find / -name libclntsh.so.10.1
/oracle/SED/102_32/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1
/oracle/client/10x_32/instantclient_10202/libclntsh.so.10.1

2. What is the output of this in Linux, as <sid>adm user:
ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

---> root@sapsed ~# su - sedadm
sapsed:sedadm 1> ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt
libclntsh.so.10.1 => not found

just to resolve your problem you can do the following steps

1. login to OS with orased

2. goto folder /oracle/client/10x_32

cd /oracle/client/10x_32

3. give command ls -ltr and check is there softlink created for instantclient , if there is no softlink then create the softlink as below

4. give the command as below

ln -s /oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient_10202 instantclient

5. check again the softlink is created or not , it should be look as below

instantclient -> /oracle/client/10x_64/instantclient_10202

6. now agin the check the command as gaurav provided earlier

ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

if it shows the proper out , then R3trans -d should work now

Other wise the best option is to RELINK the oracle binaries as said y RAJESH

Thanks

Anil

There seems to be a problem with file libclntsh.so.10.1

What is the output of this in Linux, as root user:

find / -name libclntsh.so.10.1

And expanding on Gaurav 's idea (I hadn't thought of ldd command):

What is the output of this in Linux, as <sid>adm user:

ldd `which dboraslib.so`| grep libclnt

Hi,

try the following

go to exe directory with cdexe

then execute below command

ldd R3trans

see if it shows any file as not found.

the above command will check if all necessary lib files necessary for r3trans are available based on your environment settings.

Hi,

one more suggestion Please try to check Oracle Client in /oracle/client

this folder will have 10x_64 or 92x_64 . in this folder required liberies are present to make connection with DB.

Hi,

One thing you can check...

Please backup your /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/oracle directory...

and copy sqlnet.ora, tnsnames.ora files from /oracle/<SID>/102_64/network/admin to /sapmnt/<SID>/profile/oracle

The try it should work...

Actually files from the both location should be identical..

Regards.

I still think that something might have got lost at power off.

In this case I think your best choice will be to follow the note mentioned by Anil above.

And by the way, check Linux log files for error messages at boot time.

when system running but power off suddenly

and when power on -> error

In case of a sudden power off, you may have lost some files or mount points.

This happens hardly ever, but it does happen sometimes.

Did you check at operating system level?

All file systems properly mounted?

File /usr/sap/SED/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib.so existing?

Are your mount points on storage??????????

If yes then please check whether all the mount points are still in tact and your storage is up and running.

Hi,

As BABU said check your database status.

it might be sudden restart of your OS , you database may have gone in recovery mode.

If your database is in recovery mode , the startup command provided by BABU will make instant recover of your database.

once database is started you can start you SAP , using startsap command.

Thanks

Anil

Hi,

From the error log understand that SED is your SID. Please check if the database is completely open or in mount state.

Also, check the error log in dev_w0 and paste the log here. Before that, please start the database manually and see if it is completely opening the database or only up to mount state.

To shutdown the database

sqlplus /nolog

conn / as sysdba

Shutdown Immediate

To start the database

Sqlplus /nolog

conn / as sysdba

Startup

See if it says database opened and then you start the SAP. Even then any issue comes up then check the log in dev_W0 abd paste it here.

Thanks & Regards,

Sharath Babu M
