Balance for choosing the Means of Transport

Id like to know what is the weighted-balance when PKA calculates how to choose means of transport. Meaning what is the % of cost, and % of Trans.Duration. Is there any other factor taken into account?

Hi Sunil,

SNP optimizer considers the cost parameters.

But if you are forced to use Heuristics only, you can put notional costs as MoT with longer transportation time having lower cost. Heuristics will use the 5 days MoT for the the first 30 days' requirements, and any requirements after 30 days will be channeled through the 30 days MoT.

Hi Sunil Patil,

When you have cost level fixed and different values for

duration and distance, heuristic will consider and plan as

per two scenarios

1) If means of transport is maintained for all products, then

system will plan on it own logic (no logic)

2) If product specific means of transport is maintained, then

for those products, the particular means of transport will

get selected.

Moreover, snp optimiser considers the cost values and

plans the means of transports to lower the cost values

Hi,

we have 10 codes for the TL and and 2 Means of Transport

and all product indicator is therefor both , How it selects the means of transport.

Suppose transport duration is 5 day for one means of transprt and 30 days for other means for transport. Cost is same for both.Then how it selects the means of transport in heuritics.

Weighted balance for those values will not serve the purpose.

To get accurate results, the actual values should be entered

While generating proposal for means of transport, system uses

the values in the transaction S_AP9_75000130

Cost factor will be used during optimisation

what is the weighted-balance i.e % of cost, and % of Trans.Duration ans distance when PKA calculates how to choose means of transport.

Suppose i have three means of transport with three different parameter % of cost, % of Trans.Duration and distance,Then which it will select menas of transport.

You can include transportation distance also as additional

factor
