How to set format of number to fill in?

Hi Guru,

I have requests to limit the length of numeric field.

One is limit to allow maintaining only 1 digit.

One is limit to allow maintaining only 2digit 2decimal.

I use the numeric field and try to limit in the palettes but still not work yet.

Please help what can I do to limit as request?

Instead of Numeric Field use Decimal Field as it contains options in Object Palette where you can specify leading and trailing digits.

For 1st requirement - Set Limit Leading digits to 1 in Object Palette --> Field tab.

For 2nd requirement - Set Limit Leading digits & Limit Trailing Digits to 2 in Object Palette --> Field tab.

Thanks a lot for your info. Just one more question, It will not cause any different when send to back end service between numeric and decimal right?
