Hello Experts,

We have ECC 6.0 and MS Exchange 2007. We need to integrate ECC 6 and MS Exchange for mails sent from MS Exchange should be received in ECC 6 for further processing.

What is the method to do this ?

Thank you so much.

You have some options. For accessing this as mails, you can use PI mail adapter and use IMAP or POP3 protocol to access the mails. Otherwise you may use the web service capabilities of this exchange server to expose your messages as web services and send it to PI using HTTP Protocol.

Thanks for your reply. The following is the scenario:

I will use SAP to send email to MS-Exchange and this is working now.

Then user who receive the email, should reply with "Yes" or "No" and pass this information back to SAP.

And SAP receive the email and process some task based on the reply.

Is this workable?

Thanks,

Jess

Hi Jess,

Its 100 % workable.

Your scenario is Mail Server -> PI -> SAP

So use Sender Mail Adapter and in the recevier side you can use Proxy, RFC or IDOC.

Proxy will be the best option.

ABAP Server Proxies

Hope this helps !!!
