Hi,
With the increased dependency on solution manager for many day to day activities, we plan to have 2 system landscape for solution manager.
But we are confuosed how to setup the following.
Earlywatch reports
central monitoring
SMD etc..
Suppose , we install 2 solution managers , one for Non Prod and one for Prod, what is the strategy to setup the above.
For eg. Do we need to setup earlywatch reports for all systems in Prod solution manager
or
Do we need to setup non prod systems to non prod solution manager and prod systems to prod solution manager.
In the same way , what is the strategy to set up central CCMS.
Thanks,
Tanuj
Hi,
We are using a Solman DEV and Solman Prod environment, our Solman Prod environment existed long before our DEV one (we actually only opted for a DEV box when we wanted to change some CHARM functionality and used this wiki.

All the early watch reports our setup and run in our Prod system and SMSY is fed via SLD (which isn't fed into our DEV solman system). All of the DAA agents are also connected to the production system and so on... I imagine if you want a High Availability Solution manager system (there would be the appropriate documentation for this in the Inst Guides for Solman). We strictly use Solman Dev for exactly that, Development...
