Hello mates

We are planning to install and configurate Manager SelfService and Employee SelfService functionality in our ERP 2005. Quick Sizer is usefull but we miss to have a sizing guideline, there are many guidelines for other functionalities but not for ESS and MSS or even HCM.

Could someone help us?

Hi,

Please do let us know your Enterprise portal system configuration, so that we can expalin.

as far as i know ESS and MSS will not require specific sizing since its business packages that will not consume much hardware resources for the installation,.

Our project uses SAP ECC 6.0 as the ERP System and Ltonus notes domino as the employee portal with interfaces to ECC/EP. We need to implement ESS/MSS .Wht will be sizing effort?

sizing of ess / mss or portal and backend erp is a real complex theme . there is no formula to do it right.

i suggest to think about these things:

- number of instances who (dialog instances, central instance) -> use a web dispatcher for workload balancing (on java AND abap)

- number of server processes of each instance

- (memory)settings of each server and dispatcher node

the more users you have the higher the settings should be 🐵
