You have a setting of 'capacity check' in the SPRO for storage type. Select the value of "Check according to maximum weight". Now, maintain maximum weight in LS01n or LS02n for storage bins under this storage type. Now system will check by itself before placing the stocks in these bins, by calculating available weight (Maximum - occupied wieght) which can be placed. If that goes above limit, then next bin will be searched and stock will be placed there if weight is in limit.

If you are dealing with only one bin or say, all the bins' limit is full, then system will automatically stop TO creation, There is no separate need for any setting.

Hi Amit,

Thanks indeed for the solution worked as desired....But it seems the existing Capacity Check based on volume will not work..if we ACTIVATE the check based on Max Weight ....Plz shed lights on this observation..

True, it will not work, because volume check and weight check are two different ways of restricting the stock placement in bin. You cannot assign weight and volume checks both at a time.

For volume check the storage type will have "Check by SUT" (or any other combined checks based on SUT). Maintain the desired values of volume and capacity usage in material master. Values for "capacity usage" should be made for the specific SUT as well. In bin master maintain the values for Total capacity. Now everytime the bin gets quant, the info is updated in the capacity used field, for next putaway the Total capacity and capacity used are conmpared to check enough volume is there in bin. There is a field under 'Total capacity' called "Utilisation" that shows percentage of occupied bin space.
