Sapscript underscore (ULINE) is longer with SWINCF

Hi

I have a problem after setting up cascading fonts in SAP R/3 enterprise (4,7). I have now confirmed with my ABAP testdrive that this is also a problem in Netweaver 7.0, so I think its a serious bug in SWINCF.

In a SAPSCRIPT I have this line:

UL &ULINE(85)&

The UL paragraph is font HELVE 12 point.

It prints a line of 85 chars, but when I change from HPLJ4 to SWINCF the printed line is about 1,5 cm longer.

When I look at spool in raw format i see this:

HPLJ4

FCHELVE 120 00136XSF112SF112410200120E

SW00120

ST0372062_______________________________

ST0372062_______________________________

ST0276046_______________________

...

SWINCF

FCHELVE 120 00100X%CFNT 410200066EXX

SW00066

ST0412362_______________________________

ST0412362_______________________________

ST0186228______________

...

Does anyone know a solution to prevent this problem?

Best regards

Hi ,

This note is very informative

Note 183948 - Identical output on PCL-5,PostScript,SAPWIN

In it they have mentioned that instead of HPLJ4000 use the upgraded device type where they have very much minimized this issue

Regards,

Antony

This is bad.

The note doesn't give an easy solution, but I can see off course that you directed me to the correct information, so I give you 10 points.
